Parents are starting to register their little ones for kindergarten, and there are some new immunization regulations in North Carolina all parents should know about. One of the big changes is the booster shot. Students going into sixth grade who have not had a booster in the last five years must get a new one. New college students who have not had a booster shot in the last ten years must get a new one before starting school. Also, children who never got a second dose of the mumps vaccine need to have that administered.
