Greenville Teen Died After Suffering Head Injury

A local family is preparing for the difficult task of laying their son to rest.

Andrew Ulhman of Greenville passed away after a tragic accident Monday, according to his obituary. The 14 year old was a student at E.B. Aycock Middle School.

The Greenville Daily Reflector says Ulhman suffered a head injury while skateboarding at Lake Gaston Monday and died.

"Always seeking adventure," the obituary says, "Andrew loved being outdoors. He especially enjoyed time boating, skiing, and fishing at Lake Gaston or kayaking and body surfing at Emerald Isle. He loved music and was a talented guitar player. Andrew loved animals and will be greatly missed by his beloved dog Buddy."

Andrew's funeral will be on Thursday, July 12, at 3:30 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church.

Andrew was a member of the Pitt County Wyldlife Club. According to his obituary, memorials may be made to Pitt County Wyldlife Club c/o Young Life Pitt County, PO Box 3738, Greenville, NC 27836-1738 or Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
