Fundraiser For Paralyzed Teen

A local high school is hosting a fundraiser for one of its recent graduates, who is now paralyzed.

The football field at Havelock High School where Daniel Bailey played just last year is where the event will be held Monday evening. The "Walk With Daniel" Walk-A-Thon will be held on the track of the Havelock High School football field at 5 p.m. Monday.

An accident in Newport in Carteret County one month ago paralyzed the teen.

Donations will go to the Daniel Bailey Fund, to help his family pay for his recovery. Donations may be made directly and payable to the Daniel Bailey Fund at any First Citizens Bank or mail to:
Daniel Bailey Fund
P.O. Box 928
Havelock, NC 28532
