White House Names NC Stops On Obama Bus Tour

The White House has named some of the first stops on President Barack Obama's three-day bus tour of politically important North Carolina and Virginia.

The tour begins Monday with stops in Asheville and Millers Creek. He will spend the night in the Greensboro area.

The trip will be similar to a three-day bus tour of Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois that Obama took in August.

The purpose of the trip is for Obama to continue pressuring Congress over his jobs proposal and he often does so in states that are key to his hopes of getting re-elected next year.

North Carolina and Virginia are traditionally Republican states that Obama won in 2008.

Who has increased our deficit more than any president in the history of the US? OBAMA.... Who is going to be paying for his huge increases in the deficits? My grandchildren and I am still in school myself. Get your facts straight sir!!!

I guess all the comments so fat are from people who will vote for Herman Cain & his 999 tax proposal, or one of the other GOP phonnies who will increase taxes on the middle class and poor and cut taxes on the rich. I guess you are all rich.

You call GOP phonies and then say they will tax the middleclass and reduce it on the rich? That is not a good way to go through life as a liar. You soon find you have to tell another lie to cover for the first lie then tell another lie to defend that one...wait a minute...you running against Obama in 2012 as the DNC candidate? We all know hes done and Hillary won't run...you could be the next POTUS.

That is exactly what the Cain 999 plan will do, tax the middle class and cut taxes for the wealthy. Where have you been the last week? Watching Fox news again?

I didn't vote for him in 2008 because I knew he did not have the experience or the background to be President of the United States and that he would appoint a bunch of lackeys to advise him that are even less clue-less than he is. Happiness will be Obama and his staff seeing the White House in their rear-view mirrors in Jan 2013.

And you know what Brian, you could do just that. You could say whatever you wanted to him and not be afraid of being of locked up; unlike speaking your mind to Bush or Cheney who would send their secret service agents right over if they did not like what a person had to say......like the dad in Denver who was pushing a stroller and said what he wanted to Dick Cheney. He ate some concrete. Obama would listen to whatever you had to say.

Or, eastern Carolina is too conservative for his tastes, so he sticks to areas where he can shore up his base (whatever that is).
