A U.S. Representative from the east is reacting to state representative Stephen Laroque's resignation from his position this week, just 9 days after being indicted by a federal grand jury.
Laroque is accused of taking more than 300-thousand dollars of federal loan money and using it for personal matters.
We caught up with U.S. Representative G.K. Butterfield Friday in Martin County. He shared his thoughts on Laroque's indictment and resignation.
"We've received complaints for years about some of the practices involving representative Laroque, but now the controversy is where it needs to be: in a court of law where the truth can be found," said

Laroque is due in court next month.
