Tideland Power Outage Planned For 3 Hours Overnight In Hyde County

Tideland EMC says it will conduct a planned outage Wednesdsay night beginning at 11:59 p.m. when the co-op will shut power off to its Mattamuskeet substation located in Hyde County.

Tideland expects to restore power by 3:00 a.m. Thursday. Approximately 2,043 Tideland members in Fairfield and Engelhard will be affected by the outage.

During the three hour outage, Tideland crews will reframe transmission line structures to provide safe working clearance for North Carolina Department of Transportation contractors who will be using a crane to rebuild a Hyde County bridge.
