We've been in a "War on Drugs" for 40 yrs now??!! Well how's that war going??!! This policy is a failure, but will probably continue because of such!! Gives the politicians something to talk about, and allows police to make easy arrests and get funds for vice squad! Drug use/addiction rates have NOT gone down!! Drug availabilty has NOT gone down!! Criminals/gangs are now rich, but there is NO improvement in the things the Drug War was supposed to do i.e. decrease drug use/availability!! Classic policy based on rhetoric and NOT science/facts. Just because you make something illegal will NOT make it go away. It's a health issue and NOT a moral one!! Prevention/treatment work!! Prohibition does NOT, anymore than it did for alcohol. Which, I might add, causes more morbidity/mortality than ALL the illegal drugs combined!!!! Always has!!!

I see where Barlow, Lavon , and Dataman are headed with their thinking. The poor will resort to selling drugs which will make them rich. Then we can tax the snot out of them and save the USA! Hows that hope and change working for you?

Keep on 'em, coppers. There have been several big busts lately. Before you know it our county will be completely drug-free. Right?
