Thanksgiving Lunch for Tornado Victims

More than a dozen Lexington business owners are joining together to provide a Thanksgiving lunch to residents of Davidson County who were affected by last week's tornado.

The Dispatch of Lexington reports that the owners of Shoto Japanese Steakhouse & Seafood and Smallwall Art Gallery are hosting the free holiday lunch for storm victims and their families and friends. The traditional Thanksgiving meal will be provided beginning at noon.

About a dozen businesses are helping to serve the meal.

Restaurant owner Jimmy Huynh said he hopes the Thanksgiving dinner will result in a good turnout of those who were affected by the tornado. People interested in attending are asked to respond to the invitation.

I'm a Piedmont girl by birth, but ENC lady by marriage. I'm so glad the city of Lexington provided some comfort and food to those people. Probably not many from this area have relatives there, but I do, so glad to see WITN cover a story about my hometown. Thanks WITN.
