Investigators say a 17-year-old boy sped away from police trying to stop him and was killed in a crash that killed four others in Concord.
Authorities say Joshua Stanish was driving about 75 mph trying to get away from police Friday night when his Mitsubishi Galant crashed head on into two other vehicles.
Stanish died at the scene, while a mother and her 13-year-old son in one of the other vehicles was critically injured.
Police have not released why they were trying to pull the teen over. Troopers say he did have previous traffic violations, but did not release them because the investigation into the crash is continuing.
