The sweeping cuts to universities in North Carolina could have a major impact on students at UNC-Chapel Hill if substantial hikes in tuition and fees are approved.
Monday, the Tuition and Fee Advisory Task Force met for two hours and recommended a $2,800 raise in undergraduate tuition and fees over five years. The totals would jump $800 in 2012-13.
