UPDATE: Silver Alert For Nash County Man Cancelled

A silver alert has been cancelled for 72-year-old Gene Autry Brown of Nash County.

The Nash County Sheriffs Office says Brown returned to his home in Rocky Mount not long after the silver alert was put into effect. Brown is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment..

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, Gene Autry Brown.

72-year-old Brown is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. He is described as 6' 3", 163 pounds, last seen wearing a black hat, a gray and burgundy sweater, and light blue boots. He was last seen at 9005 Sharpe Road in Rocky Mount and might be headed to Delaware.

Anyone with information about Brown should call Detective C.A. Threatt at the Nash County Sheriff's Office at 252-459-4121.
