A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing endangered teenager from Wallace in Duplin County.
Police are looking for 14-year-old Mattea Smith who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
While the statewide alert says Smith is a boy, Wallace police this morning supplied WITN News with a picture of the missing girl.
Police say the girl is possibly without her medication and may have run away with another teen girl.
The two were last seen around 4:00 p.m. on October 21st at the Tri-County Youth Center in Wallace.
Smith is 5'5 135 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wallace Police Department.
