SBA Offers Low-Interest Loans In Rebuilding NC

The U.S. Small Business Administration says its loans are available to homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes in North Carolina's storm disaster zone.

The Small Business Administration said Friday interest rates are below three percent for homeowners and renters, three percent for non-profit organizations and four percent for businesses with repayment terms of up to 30 years. Loan amounts and terms are based on each applicant's financial condition.

Homeowners may be eligible for up to $200,000 to repair or replace real estate damaged by Saturday's deadly storms, plus up to $40,000 to repair or replace personal property like vehicles.

Renters may be eligible for loans of up to $40,000 to repair or replace their possessions.

The first step is registering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Who wants to get in debt after losing everthing you have ever owned.

Thank you for the increase in debt for me. That is so kind. I'll have no problem paying it back. The money grows on trees around here. I wish I didn't have a job so I could be poor and get a free house. But I make 22,000 a year so the government says I'm not poor. So I pay for my healthcare, pay taxes, work, pay for my home and car and.... I think I'll just get fat and go on disability. I can say I'm an injured vet (and to those who truly are no offense) or claim I was a hard working person til I got "injured", but now with disability I can drive, stay on computer for hours, work in yard, work under the table, do drugs, drink, party, etc. No wonder there are so many bums in this country. It's profitable!!!

You are completely clueless. We give billions and it goes to almost every country in the world. As "aid"!

We can give billions and millions to other countries, but when it comes to our own people needing help, where is the help that other countries get?

It's called diplomacy! Remember the democrat mantra? "We don't want to drive them into the arms of the Soviets". Oh yeah that's right the USSR doesn't exist anymore. Well it's hard to change old habits. Be quiet and pay your fair share! Well, Republicans won't change it. If we don't give them money then they'll hate us; oh, that's right they hate us anyway. Well, let's give these countries money so they don't really double dare hate us!!!!
