Politico Ranks NC Governor Race 2nd Most Competitive For 2012

Next year's race for North Carolina governor is already generating a lot of headlines. The website politico.com has ranked the expected rematch between Beverly Perdue and Pat McCrory as the second most competitive contest for 2012.

Perdue won the first race in 2008 to become North Carolina's first female governor, but Politico shows several polls that have her trailing the former mayor of Charlotte. McCrory triumphed the website's polls for the month of October with 47% of online votes, beating out Perdue's 42%. While McCrory has not formally announced he will be a candidate in 2012, he is raising money and indications are that he will file to do so in January.

Politico has lost its mind! This NC gov. race will not be competitive, it will be a landslide , she won't win , it does not matter who runs against her. There is a huge political tide more like a full on tsounami coming! Bev will lose by about the same amount Obama will in NC 56% to 44%!

It will not make any difference which of these two career politicians win. Things will remain the same!! Both will work for special interests with no regard to taxpayers!! The unemployment will continue to go higher regardless. Both will waste millions based on lobbyist request and rehetoric and NOT what's in our best interest. When Greece defaults, and Europe goes into recession, we will too. The super committee that was set up to fail, will fail!! Our credit rating will get lowered again. We will go into recession(I don't think we ever got out really!!). It's going to be a mess. NOTHING has changed since the financial collapse of '08, as our politicians are bought and paid for NOT to do anything. Our democracy is FOR SALE!! PERIOD!! ELECTION REFORM NOW!!! Return to public service and stop career politicians, and lobbyists/PACs!!!!!

@ Anonymous: The fact is public schools are failing and it's time to give parents SCHOOL CHOICE! We should cut add'l funds from the public school system and turn them into vouchers for parents to help pay for private education.

I knew better than to vote for her last time. What... 100 years of democratic governors in NC and we wonder why we're one of the highest taxed states in the nation ?? She is a total failure.
