CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- University of North Carolina police are investigating a break-in and theft at the Student Academic Services Building on the Chapel Hill campus.
The school said the break-in occurred in the student judicial system off
ice, which houses the Honor Court. It was discovered at 8 a.m. Monday. The suspect or suspects took sensitive confidential records for 30 students, and university student affairs officials are contacting each of the students to inform them about the theft.
The Department of Public Safety declined to provide additional details because of its ongoing investigation.
