POLICE: Burglary Suspect Arrested After Leaving Cell Phone Behind

A Graham man has been arrested after police found his cell phone at a burglary location.

Police say they made the arrest after they found the cell phone belonging to 34-year-old Trinity Salter in a church parsonage that had been broken into Sunday afternoon.

Officers say when they searched Salter's home they found a gun and other items taken in a series of burglaries.

The Times-News of Burlington reported that Salter has been charged with seven counts of breaking and entering, six counts of larceny, larceny of a gun and four counts of injury to real property.

He's being held in the Alamance County jail. It wasn't clear if he has an attorney.

Police never solve anything on their own. Evidence left behing or information from informers or tips solve most crimes.Sometime police are at the right place at the right time & get lucky. So this being said police are no smarter than you & I

It's not about intellect unless you account for their education. They do have an education. Not everyone gets through that and ends up with a badge and a department to work in. So I'm pretty sure there are police officers that are "smarter" than a lot of us. If anyone could do the job, we'd all be doing it. Watching CSI doesn't count.
