There are new poll numbers on the presumed match up in the North Carolina governor's race, and it's not good news for the incumbent.
Public Policy Polling's latest numbers on the hypothetical match up between Gov. Bev Perdue and former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory, show McCrory leading Perdue by 11 points. The polling group says this is McCrory's largest lead in their polls in several months.
Mccrory is widely expected to announce towards the end of the month that he is running against Perdue in a rematch of their close 2008 election race.
