NC Police: Arrested Protestors Range From 20 To 66

Anti-Wall Street protestors say they're not going away after 20 people were arrested following a demonstration at the State Capitol.

Raleigh police on Sunday identified the people arrested after refusing to leave the Capitol grounds hours after their demonstration was scheduled to end. They were charged with second-degree trespassing.

The arrested protestors range from age 20 to 66. Most are from Raleigh, with others from Pembroke and Martinsville, Va.

Police say the Occupy Raleigh protest on Saturday drew about 400.

Greensboro Police Chief Ken Miller estimated the size of a similar protest in that city at about 600 on Saturday. More than 80 protesters in Wilmington protested outside the downtown building of Bank of America on Saturday.

100% did not get money from George Dubya or Obama to save their company from poor management. 100% didnt get money from TART. I suspect that most would rather be working but cannot find a job. This is a reflection of politicians on both sides not listening and a system broken. If you are wearing a tin hat your revisionist marxism soros mind may not be able to see this.

First its not TART...its TARP. A TART is a food, poptart aluminum foil guy. Soros is behind this along with Code Pink, The Tides (owned by Soros) and many liberal groups and foundations funded by Soros. Since you didn't know that, you are broken. A great percentage of the speakers...paid by Soros people. The fact you do not know that...scare tells me how airhead some people are even with the tin foil hat on and that they probably drive a car too. Bill Ayers and Dorn...Van Jones...all the communists are there and the don't want socialism, its communism. If you were informed, you would know that. However, enjoy those TARTS...

You are not rich. You do not get bailed out. You do not own politicians. There are no tax loopholes created especially for you. You may work hard for what you have and you may hate to associate yourself with dirty liberal hippies, but guess what? You are the 99%!

Speak for yourself. We are not entitlement people, we actually work for a living. There is no free colleges and no free ride as this is what the protestors seek. You can keep your socialism and marxism and YOU, can keep Obama.

No, there IS a free ride for the wealthy and corporations in this country who do not have to follow the same rules that we do. So you say it was OK to give BILLIONS of OUR (working Americans) tax dollars to rich bankers and stock traders who continue to give themselves million-dollar bonuses for mis-managing their companies, but we shouldn't do anything to help middle-class Americans? You sir are a full of it as anyone could be.

Do any of you honestly believe any congressman/woman or big corporation has your well-being on their agenda? If so, you are a complete and total moron. Election reform will never happen in this country, because the big money lobbyists won`t allow it. That`s what these people are protesting, and they just need a leader. We are headed down the tubes, and all politicians are directly responsible for every problem in this country. I`m moving to Canada.

They know what they are protesting.Apparently there are those that do not get the daily news."LOVE NC", Are there any real faithful conservatives in NC anymore? If so please tell us what it is you hope they vote for?No abortions,no gay marriage,no social programs,no illegals?I am sure the conservatives will use all these issues to secure what votes they can. It's sad to see people used in this way.Perry will get gads of suport from right wing religious conservatives that have absolutely no interest and nothing in common with the banks, with wall str marketeers,GE ,High end corporations etc. They will suffer as always from the very ones they put their trust in.

"It's sad to see people used in this way"?? Are you serious. Dems and Repubs have done this since I can remember. The whole idea is they hope you don't have the sense to think for yourself and vote for their respective party!! Sadly, it works all too well. There are so many lies (from BOTH sides) that if you have done your homework, you'll never know who's telling the REAL truth!!! I agree about the Perry statement. But let's go back to 2008 and the pandering that was done by the Democratic party, especially the Obama campaign. It will never end until we keep voting new people, regardless of party, until they really start working for the betterment of this country!!!

People keep saying this but I've yet to see anybody actually prove that they don't know what they're protesting. And really, if they don't know what they're protesting, it just puts them in the same catagory as all the tea-party protesters who were crying about the government staying out of their already socialized medicine.

Funny you should say that, I see the Tea Party wants less government spending, the constitution to be enforced and less taxes...its, like..everwhere what they stand for. Apparently, due to a drug run, missed it. Now being I as at San Fran in the middle of a protest there....they didn't know what they were protesting but power to the people anyway....Airheads, Mushbrains and militants all had a great time with the police there. The signs in NYC range from the paid protesters from we want free pizza to we want communism. Please be informed, your post is the worst that I have seen today. What news do you catch, The View?

@ O.L.I..I was in New Bern this weekend with my family..The first State Capital of NC...reliving NC history...and loved it..Let them protest all they want. It is our right, but I sure hope faithful conservative natives of NC will stand their ground and vote against the CHANGE!!!

Guess some of them will have an excuse not to be on time for work tomorrow. What a way to spend a weekend. I'm sure they had good intentions, before anyone starts the bashing.
