Eleven thousand pounds of medications were collected around the state during the recent Operation Medicine Drop.
There were a total of 236 drop off sites from March 18 through the 24th where law enforcement officials collected expired and unneeded prescription and over-the-counter medications. As a result, 7.7 million doses of medications were safely collected and destroyed, keeping them from getting into the wrong hands and out of our waterways, according to officials.
