Senator Kay Hagan announced Tuesday North Carolina will receive $12.3 million in federal funding to repair damage caused by hurricane Sandy.
The money is in addition to the 17.6 million the state received in April to repair inlets and waterways. This latest round of aid to North Carolina will fund projects to repair and restore refuges and hatcheries, clear trash and hazardous materials, as well as repair and restore parks facilities.
