McCrory: I've Disagreed Some With NC Legislature

Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory says he disagrees with the some of the actions taken by the new GOP majority at the North Carolina Legislature during its first year in charge.

McCrory made the comments Wednesday as he officially filed his papers to become a candidate. A few dozen supporters cheered and held McCrory placards as he arrived at the State Board of Elections office in Raleigh.

McCrory wouldn't get into specifics about his areas of disagreement Wednesday but did say he didn't think it was appropriate for the Legislature to meet after midnight last month when it overrode one of Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue's vetoes.

The former Charlotte mayor said he'd prefer that sessions be held when lawmakers are most alert.

He will get my vote if he promises not to reduce classroom spending for the Public Schools in his budgets.

The K-12 budget has been cut for several years in a row. The state government should at least hold the cost at current levels by not reducing the funding any further.

I am still waiting on an answer to why the state legislature passed a worker's comp bill that basically hammers the employee if they are hurt on the job!

It didn't take him long to hear how unpopular the Republican Legislature is. What a weasel.

They are far better than these crooked democrats that we have here in this state and the Obama butt kissers. Hint hint: thats why Perdue isn't running for re-election, to save herself some embarrassment from losing in a landslide

He appears to this long-time Republican as the Mitt Romney of NC GOP politics... a walking, talking empty suit... flip/flop/flip/flop... say anything necessary to get elected phony.
