Does anyone know why Greene County left out for the Federal funding/assistance for homeowners. If this is a mistake it needs to be correced by the news media. If not it needs to be addressed by the local government officials and in the next election.

I am truly disgusted! How can anyone cut 20 weeks of benefits because it may hurt the budget next year? We are talking about now! Is she ignorant, there were over 40 tornadoes in our state businesses are flattened. So where are the jobs that she wants everyone to go out and get? On top of tornadoes now we have cyclone Perdue. She cut my job and now she is cutting my unemployment. Maybe she dig deeper in her closet like she was bragging about on t.v. today and find her heart!

Wasn't she forced to make a decision between the unemployment benefits and cutting budget cost? First the Republicans complained about people getting unemployment benefits, now they are complaining about them not getting them, whats wrong with this picture?

Surprised since she seems to have no common sense where to cut. How about CUT the assistance to illegals and deport them instead of housing them in our prisons for us to feed, house, and educate at our expense. NO MORE FREE CARE AND FREE BABIES EITHER.

I am so upset with the news as to the allocation of these funds. How much must a county suffer to gain some kind of assistance. Oh ya, were talking about Bev Perdue...its who you know. Right I forgot. Greene County lost business', over 100 homes were damaged or distroyed, the High School was damaged and they lost a whole middle school which has more than 800 students enrolled. I mean please people an F3 plowed through and it looks like a nuclear bomb was dropped. What makes me even more sick is that she wants a pat on the back for her generosity. Well, you know what at least now she can't own them. She just makes me ill. I am really really disapointed.

I think the major announcements were discussed Saturday when the weathermen were telling us TORNADO'S were coming through our area in 15 min....10 min....5min...take cover immediately!! I'll tell you what she can do with her 'major announcement', and it's not to tell everyone about it.

She can make a really nice announcement with just two words, "I resign".

I like this comment. Great one. She has been such a let down. I am glad that I can say I didn't vote for her. I could see it in that cheesy smile of hers.
