She is seriously detached from reality. Hwy. 12 will not be repaired in one week. Politicians do what politicians do.

anonymous at 1231; while I agree with you, but... Gov Perdue was handed a state already in deep trouble. She is just trying to keep her head above water as well, no pun intended

I wish she would come see the damages in Wayne County - you know Mrs. Perdue, the county that you left OFF the list when you submitted the request for an emergency declaration from the prez. Still don't understand what made you think Johnston County would need assistance but not Wayne - Johnston is further west. Good grief what a dumbazz.

a true waste of time and energy, camera time for a struggling politician. How about the insurance commissioner, the fema people, we certainly do not need a politician making decisions for anyone especially a governor that has completely destroyed the state in her term so far. Just stay in raleigh or take a vacation with the president. just go away.

The Outer Banks will be set by Labor Day? Really? The state is able to rebuild those washed out roads by this weekend? HA HA HA. Too funny! What a scam.

I wish Gov Perdue would come to martin county, williamston, she is in greenville, even though we are a small town, we have still suffered damaged, homes, cars, no loss of life, thank God, but we have been without power since saturday morning at 830 and there are still some elderly people living in regular homes without fans and air conditioners, so forth and so on....what is dominion power doing for the local towns

I hope and pray she sees the remote Pamlico Beach where many fishermen and elderly live. Pamlico Beach Rd East is a disaster. Houses in pieces. Some gone. Pockets of the same thing all through Pamlico Beach.

She needs to head out to the OBX so she can see what she invited folks to. Very sad that she just assumes all is well. All is NOT well Gov Botox!
