Fans of the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will gather in the Triangle area to put their competitive energy toward charity.
Members of the Triangle Patriots Fans are joining with fans of the New York Giants on Sunday to hold a "Souper Bowl" food drive.
The two clubs will attempt to collect the most food for a local food bank. Bins have already been placed at the gathering spots for the respective clubs, and donations can also be dropped off at the Raleigh Rescue Mission, where people can designate their favorite team.
While their teams will get a trophy for winning the Super Bowl, the winning fan club will be able to claim bragging rights. Donations will be weighed Monday morning.
