CLAYTON, N.C. (AP) -- A former middle school teacher in Clayton is facing a sixth charge of having sex with a student.
Twenty-nine-year-old Paul Canally was charged Monday with a sex offense involving a person between the ages of 13 and 15.
Clayton police think the former Archer's Lodge Middle School teacher involvement with the sixth teen took place in August 2009.
The former science teacher worked at the school from August 2007 to July 27, 2009. School officials say he left for personal reasons.
Johnston County Schools spokeswoman Terri Sessoms said last week no one complained about possible sexual abuse by Canally while he worked at the school.
Canally was first arrested Feb. 29.
He's being held on a bond of $2.6 million. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
