Extra Caution Urged On The Roadways

More than one million North Carolinians are expected to travel this Thanksgiving at least 50 miles from home.

Ninety-percent of those plan to reach their destination by car. And more people on the road means more need for caution.

The Highway Patrol has begun it's "Click It Or Ticket" campaign. They'll also be looking for aggressive, distracted and impaired drivers to help keep the roads safer this holiday.

If you are planning to drive you'll find a little relief at the pump. The statewide average for a gallon of regular is down to $3.35 this week, though that's still much higher than last Thanksgiving when it was $2.80 a gallon.

"They'll also be looking for aggressive, distracted and impaired drivers" - Shouldn't be too hard. Just sit along any Greenville road. They are everywhere.
