Coast Guard Station Fort Macon Change Of Command

There was a change in command Wednesday for the crew of Coast Guard Station Fort Macon.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Jeremy McConnell assumed command of the station from Chief Warrant Officer Thaddus Bouchard as the officer-in-charge.

The Fort Macon station missions include search and rescue, recreational boating safety, law enforcement, and marine environmental protection.

The station is manned by 30 active duty members and 12 reserve members.
