Camp Lejeune Marine Killed In Afghanistan, Death Under Investigation

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (AP) -- The Department of Defense is announcing the death of a Camp Lejeune-based Marine in Afghanistan.

Military officials said Friday 21-year-old Lance Cpl. Terry C. Wright of Scio, Ohio, died Sept. 21 in Helmand province.

Wright was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

A statement from the department said Wright's death is under investigation.
