An anti-war group is organizing a Fort Bragg protest against a new weapon -- missile-equipped unmanned aircraft.
Fayetteville's Quaker House plans a peaceful vigil Saturday at the entrance to Fort Bragg to oppose military drones. Organizers say the U.S. is launching drones attacks overseas that are immoral, and breed hostility and thirst for revenge against America.
Quaker House co-director Steve Newsom says drones make killing too easy. He says if they can't be banned by the world's armies, then there should be worldwide regulations on how they can be used and against whom.
Quaker House is an anti-war group founded in 1969 in the hometown of the Army's massive post. It has organized anti-war rallies and said it helps soldiers who want to get out of the military.
