AP Source: NCAA Probe Targets UNC Football Program

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A person familiar with the investigation says the NCAA is looking at North Carolina's football program.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the investigation is confidential.

Athletic director Dick Baddour said Thursday that the NCAA is investigating one of the Tar Heel sports program for possible rules violations. He says the school is cooperating, but declined to specify exactly what was being investigated.

Baddour says the NCAA told the university not to publicly disclose the probe and that he was allowed only to confirm that investigators had been to Chapel Hill.

Baker, I knew Willie very well, and he is a good loyal guy to all of us, and looked up to our football, basketball, and baseball teams. I did NOT do anything that he did. I was in the defensive secondary (Free Safety), played Third Base, and was the backup point guard, so obviously you don't know what you are talking about. As far as the beach, you say you are moving down there. Karma hurts does it? As far as the yankees, Martin County does not have near as many as most of ENC. That's the only good part. The Outer Banks is where it's at.

"Sam" Willie did a great job and told me just the other day how much fun it was when you were his helper at ol' WHS. Yankees like it here because they can afford to buy huge houses in area where they section themselves off and away from our diverse communities. They don't have live in downtown Williamston or Robersonville where the thugs roam the streets, preying on the innocent like the zombies on a "Night of the Living Dead" movie. Get off that beach once in a while Sammy. Baykha!!

Continuing previous post: They keep moving down here because they can get waterfront property for cheaper and in a warmer climate than they come from. Look at all the beaches we have. Add the Albemarle and Pamlico sounds. Add Lake Gaston. Add The Pamlico, Chowan, and Neuse Rivers. Also some people like to get out of mega cities after retirement, so they come where the pace of life is slower, but that slow pace will change soon. I know several northerners who love it down here. The same thing goes with some people form Florida.

Baker, 1st, I never carried water for anyone other than myself using a water bottle. 2nd, I know the guy who did this for the football and baseball teams. He is not all there, but he is a good guy who works hard and is always speaking and keeping up with the people who went to Williamston High, including myself. 3rd, I've been to several different places out of ENC. I've been to D.C., New York City, Boston, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Orlando, San Diego, Chicago, and Hawaii before. I've even been to Italy and the Bahamas at one time. I've experienced a lot, but still prefer to live where I'm at now and nowhere else. 4th, I don't care to visit Detroit or Cleveland. I don't blame LeBron for leaving Cleveland to go to Miami. 5th, Williamston has been going downhill for the last 15 years, ans if it keeps up, it will be a ghost town one day. ENC is definately NOT the armpits. It's mostly countryside and has a lot of water. Why do you think a bunch of Yankees keep moving down here?

My ol my "Sam", how our legend grows after we leave our little corner of the world. I remember you well Sam, you really carried the water for ol Williamston High. If you would get out of Eastern NC some, you may realize that the rest of the country, with the exception of Detroit and Louisiana, is all more prosperous than ENC. We are one of the armpits of the world Sam, Cleveland is the other armpit, Louisiana is the extreme lower back and well....you know what spot that leaves for Detroit. It stinks Sam!! Detroit is like Robersonville times 500,000 so you know it's bad. Williamston is still the center of all human existence though. Even if downtown Williamston looks like Saigon the day after the withdrawal, I am still walking proud, chest out, mustache thoroughly waxed. Although I do admit, I take more than just a peek over my shoulder, just bein' careful, don't want to become a gang statistic. Baykha!!

Dave: If you hate everything about NC, why did you attend college here and better yet why are you still here? If I were you I'd be careful of running your mouth. You just might offend the wrong person.

Baker, the comment you said about my lame sense of pride is another sign of you showing your ignorance. BTW, I got all-conference awards 2 times in football and 3 times in baseball. To compare the schools, I'll say they should have not shut down Bear Grass and Jamesville, but I don't even get into that and argue like you do with the rest of them. Oh yeah, I never mentioned before, but I was accepted to UVA when I applied to colleges, and UVA is tougher to get into than UNC and N.C. State (where I refused to apply to). I still made the choice to go to ECU, cause my parents went there, and I love the environment that surrounds the university, the football games, and the baseball games. Greenville is an all-around great college town, and would be even better if those thugs from West Greenville would go somewhere else to live.

Baker, people like you and others who are involved with all this Martin County drama are a big reason why me and my wife moved to the Outer Banks. You don't even know who I am, so stop all your hypocritical talk dude. You are sounding like an ignorant hypocrite by acting like you know me, where you really don't. I don't even know who you are. You probably have no idea that I am a CPA of North Carolina either. I passed that exam the first time I took it. That education from Williamston High and East Carolina University helped me prepare for it. To ENC Tar HOLE fan, with all those greedy politicians using their corrupt income to put all that corrupt money into UNC's programs, they should win consistent national championships on all the sports. Those same politicians have never done anything for the east. As much money as UNC has coming from those crooks, they still can't go far in football. If we had our own state (no Raleigh here) we would not have so many of these bandwagoners.

"Tarheel" from Ayden, Sam did most certainly go to ECU as well as Williamston High School, can't you tell by his poor composition skills and lame sense of pride in his Pirates and Tigers. Hey, I never claimed we had a good academic high school or any other good schools in town for that matter. The smart kids went to Bear Grass and Jamesville. WE ARE GOOD AT SPORTS and the town is the center of all human existence and somehow we still produced "Sam". He was as powerfully built as a poodle/chihuahua mix and as athletic as old man Rodgerson's milk cow while he was here but he tried hard and was dedicated to his more gifted teammates. "CB", shame on you corn bread. Telling the truth is never shameful, even when it offends a protected class of underachievers. There should be no protected classes and the truth should not be turned on it's head to satisfy those whose biggest accomplishment is that they failed and complained enough to garner special treatment. BAYKHA!!!! Extra Baykha!!!

"Jolly" Okay!, first of all I don't care about your tiny Roger or your guilt ridden, blinding, mind-numbing, political correctness. The truth is the truth even if your wittle feewlins' get hurt when you read it. If you want proof of the dreadlocked, former project dwelling kids driving SUVs and wearing shoes worth more than their absentee father's grand total of child support payments, just go to ECU, NC State, UNC and almost any other college in the country that recruits kids to play sports on scholarship. Before they became the apple of a college coach's eye, they were happy to have a bologna sandwich from the food stamp card, some $8.88 Walmart jeans and a pair of dollar tree flip flops. My nephew was approached about going all the way to Raleigh to take an SAT for a dumb kid from right here in ENC just so he would have an SAT score that made sense next to those inflated grades he got at one of our local high schools. They didn't want to "hold him back" by flunking him. Baykha!!
