Woodmen Of The World Contributes 5-Million Dollars For Community Center

The Kinston-Lenoir County Parks and Recreation Commission and the Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society held a ground-breaking ceremony for the Woodmen Community Center in Kinston Friday morning.

Woodmen of the World is contributing 5-million dollars towards the 6.35 millon dollar project - and says this is the first project of its kind for the group.

The center is being built at the old Smithfield Packing Site in Kinston. Kinston and Lenoir County officials say they're thrilled that the community center is being built, and look forward to its opening.

The center is expected to open in the fall.

Woodmen is an awesome company - they truly live up to their promise to service their members and their communities by investing profits where their premiums come from - their members. Also I wouldn't insure my family with anyone else. They are stable and conservative. I worked for another major insurance carrier in the state and bought Woodmen for my family because of their solid reputation. I attended my first state Woodmen convention last year as a member and I can truly say it was a moving experience and I came away even more sold on their philosophy. It's a wonderful organization.
