Bicyclists Honor Fallen Law Enforcement Members

A group of bicyclists rode through Eastern Carolina Friday in honor of law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center ride is part of the Police Unity Tour, which is a group of officers and friends who ride bicycles from all over the country in honor of fallen officers.

The ride started in Brunswick, Georgia last Saturday. Friday, bikers rode through Kinston to honor detective Allen Pearson, Greenville to honor officer Jason Campbell, and onto Williamston to honor Martin County deputy Charlie Brown. The participants also took time to remember Nags Head police officer Earl Murray.

The bicyclists are headed to Washington, D.C. next where riders will visit the Pentagon and the National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial as part of National Police Week.
