Gov. Perdue In Germany To Recruit Businesses To N.C.

Gov. Beverly Perdue, business recruiters and education and tourism leaders are heading to Germany to urge companies there to visit and invest in North Carolina.

Perdue's office said the governor will stay in Munich until Wednesday. She'll meet with executives of companies already with a presence in North Carolina or are considering setting up shop in the state.

Perdue will take a brief vacation in Europe after leaving Munich with husband, Bob Eaves, before coming home. Other delegation members will visit other German cities the rest of the week. Some will head later to Sweden.

Perdue's office said the governor and her husband are paying for their entire trip. The rest of the trade mission will cost the state $44,000.

What do you expect, she was trained by the Easleys. The Democratics have got to be so proud, Jim Black, John Edwards, Mike Easley, Frank Ballance. These are not the run of the mill politicians, these are people that affect your everyday life and checking account.

This "delegation" can spend $44,000 but the state can`t send my lousy little tax refund check of $159.00.

It is still costing the State 44,000 for the trip whether the Gov and her husband are paying their own way or not. I think this is the point that is trying to be made.

The Wicked Witch of the East is out blowing money again, even though the state budget cannot even be balanced.I wonder though, could she get there faster on a 747, or her trusty broomstick?

Saw Perdue last night on tv and wonder how much her botched botox injections cost NC...a few months ago her cheeks moved when she talked and her laugh lines did too. Now her laugh lines are all but filled in and her face doesn't move except for her lower jaw and forehead. Bless her heart, she was fine the way she was why did she have to go and "fix" her face? WITN- do a story on Perdue's botched botox!
