Insurance Coverage Debate For Elective Abortions

The hot button issue of abortion was on the agenda for two county Boards of Commissioners Monday. One county Commissioners' Board voted to restore insurance coverage for elective abortions for county employees, on the same day another board voted to drop it.

Pitt county Commissioners voted to take coverage for elective abortions, ones that are not medically recommended, from the county's insurance plan. That's according to the Daily Reflector.

Published reports say the Wake county Board of Commissioners voted Monday to reinstate insurance coverage for elective abortions.
