The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for parts of eastern Carolina late Tuesday through Wednesday.
The advisory is in effect from 5 pm Tuesday to 7 pm Wednesday for Outer Banks Dare and Outer Banks Hyde counties.
Northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph will develop late Tuesday and Tuesday evening. These strong winds will
continue Wednesday with the direction becoming more northwest.
A wind advisory means that winds of 31 to 39 mph with higher gusts are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra Caution.
