A woman has been charged with killing her soldier daughter at Fort Bragg.
Linda Hough Shannon of South Carolina faces a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of Autumn Michelle Shannon.
An FBI agent said in court documents released on Wednesday that Shannon admitted to stabbing her daughter after the two got into an argument Monday at the younger woman's home on the Army post.
Military police had detained Linda Shannon shortly after getting a call. Shannon told the FBI agent that she had tried to call 911 for help.
Linda Shannon did not have an attorney listed in court records. Autumn Shannon was a cook at Fort Bragg.
