Thousands Of Students Show Up For Job Fair

There could be some positive news for job seekers, especially for those about to graduate from college.

All majors at East Carolina University got a chance to meet with perspective employers at this year's career fair. Thousands of students showed up for the event Tuesday.

Organizers say there were 100 to 150 vendors this year, including WITN, which is much more than last year.

One student we spoke to said he was looking forward to using his degree in education to become a social studies teacher.

Employers say there was a much better applicant pool this year and were very impressed by the students who attended the fair.

Of course these employers want to hire young graduates, so they can replace all the ones they fired who had benefits, families to support, paid vacations accrued, etc.
