The search is on for a Wilmington man police say walked out of a hospital two weeks ago and hasn't been seen since.
Royal Avery Cannon Jr., age 45, was transported by EMS to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Friday night, January 8.
Police say he apparently walked away from the emergency room before being admitted. No one has heard from him since that evening.
A close friend reported him missing on January 15.
Police say Cannon was last seen wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and blue and white tennis shoes. He had no money or cell phone with him when he disappeared.
