ECU Students Help Haiti Relief

One ECU student decided to take action and do something to help Haiti.

The group is called "Pirates for Haiti." Several ECU students volunteered their time and set up tables Tuesday seeking donations for Haiti relief.

They group gave out free hot chocolate and red ribbons for those who stopped by to donate.

"Pirates for Haiti" was created based on an idea by ECU student Brandon Hill. "It really broke my heart seeing little children in the streets that are passed away, family no longer there, aunts, uncles, it just rips through my heart"

The goal is to raise $5,000 in donations. The brought in $625.00 Tuesday.

Tables will be set up in several different locations across campus for the next month.

So what have you done? Seriously? I'd let East Carolina University find out about these comments, see if they don't rain hell down on you for doing this amazing service project. Or, wait, you can't. Because if you did go to college you would understand that part of your college experience would be giving back to the community, after what your community did for you for four years, and thats earn you a big bachelors degree.

Sounds like somebody is jealous because this young man is helping his community out and you're not doing a single thing.

It looks to me that some people are looking for some resume material.
