States have risen substantially over the last three weeks.
The average price of regular gasoline in the United States is up 14 cents over a three-week period to $2.74, according to the Lundberg Survey. AAA says the average is $2.71 in North Carolina, while a week ago it was $2.61.
Many gas stations in Greenville posted $2.76 a gallon Monday morning.
