Governor Perdue At Camp Lejeune

Governor Perdue visited the military base that is preparing to send hundreds of troops to Afghanistan before Christmas.

Governor Beverly Perdue spent part of the morning at Camp Lejeune. She's visiting to get information on the upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.

I agree with "US citizen for now". I think she should go with the Marines to Afghanistan. I don't mean to make the Marines suffer or anything like we have since she has been in office. I just thought that the Marines could find her "jobs" such as looking for land mines, etc. And with her being the lady she is, she could walk ahead of the Marines looking for snipers. I'm sure it would not be long before she would be working on a "no smoking" policy over there too. Not only has she stopped us from smoking in public, we can barely smoke at home now with the "new cigarettes" on the market. You have to keep lighting the over and over because they go out. Thanks Bev............

This is nothing more than showboating on her part. This is not her job, the military, that is the presidents job. Her job is to try and clean up the corruption in Raleigh from the highest leverls there to all in the legislature. Her job is to reduce taxes, not get involved in Afganistan.

She could serve better by leaving with the marines which are heading to Afghanistan. She'd could find land mines and help protect the ones that actually care for this country.
