Blackwater Missile Contract Ended

CIA Director Leon Panetta has canceled a secret contract with the former Blackwater security firm that had allowed the company's employees to load missiles on Predator drones in Pakistan.

A person familiar with the contract says Panetta canceled the contract earlier this year and the work is being transferred to government workers. The person spoke on condition of anonymity in order to discuss the classified program.

A spokesman for the company now known as Xe Services was not immediately available for comment. The New York Times first reported the contract's existence in August.

The CIA's Predator program targets senior al-Qaida and Taliban in Pakistan's tribal area along the border with Afghanistan, but the agency has never confirmed its role in the operation.

General McCrystal should send an armed drone over the home of CIA Director Leon Panetta and the one who gave the order regarding this issue. The guy who spilled this classified info should be sent to the Afgan mountains and placed out of front of enemy fire from Taliban. The White house and congress needs to concentrate of domestic issues and let the members of Joint Chief of Staff and Generals handle the war. Congress' role should be only for providing troops and funding!!!!!!

Hold on fellas, have you not read the news? Blackwater and its subsidiaries dodged a bullet several times over. Did you know that 30 of your Republican senators voted against a bill that would require any government contractors who are accused of sexually molesting, raping and abusing their female employees to go to court and not settle out of court? Yeah, that means your Republican senators voted FOR the raping of gov't contractors' female employees. Don't forget about the other legal trouble they've been involved in: mis-using PUBLIC funds (remember - gov't contracts - but I bet you two are still hung up over ACORN), killing of innocent civilians, etc. But nope, I bet you all didn't know that.

Why would the AP think that it's alright to publish classified information? Why would WITN pick it up and air it? If it's classified then the person leaking the info should be charged with treason and hung. Why put our military in harm's way to sell a paper? I guess 'your' whitehouse thinks it is alright to put a target on our people. Where is 2010 and 2012 when you need it? I WANT change! .
