Golden Corral Honors Veterans

Once a year--a national chain restaurant takes time out to thank America's military veterans by offering them a free meal.

The Golden Corral restaurant in Greenville took part in a nationwide military appreciation "thank you" dinner Monday evening.

From 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, veterans were served a free meal from the restaurant's buffet.

The event started in 2000 and brings hundreds of veterans out to the location on Greenville Boulevard.

To date, Golden Corral restaurants have provided over 2.2 million free meals and contributed over $3.3 million to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
