New Procedures To Keep Flu Out Of State Facilities

Friday starts a new process to restrict people who could have the flu from visiting people in several state facilities.

Beginning Friday, staff and visitors will be actively screened for flu-like symptoms at state facilities. No visitors with symptoms will be allowed in. This applies to state-operated hospitals, residential schools, developmental disability centers, neuro-medical treatment centers, and alcohol and drug treatment facilities.

went to a doctor's office recently, and the waiting room was divided by a sign saying "those with flu symptoms wiat here (an arrow showed where). ALL OTHERS, THIS SIDE OF THE ROOM. THAT IS PRIMA FACIE (SP?) EVIDENCE THAT FLU VIRUSES CAN READ. SO, JUST POST A SIGN AT THE ENTRANCE: no concealed weapons or flu viruses allowed past this point.
