18 Pitt County Churches Broken Into

A local pastor says his son is going to sleep in their church until police catch the person who burglarized it and 17 other Pitt County churches.

The burglaries have all occurred over the past three months. Police say those responsible are taking things like cameras, tv's, speakers, musical equipment and microphones.

The Living Faith Prophetic Ministries on Truman Street in Greenville is the latest church to be broken into by thieves. Apostle Bobby Holloway says it's actually the third time his church has been burglarized. Holloway says one time the crooks actually sawed the outside of their metal siding, and kicked in the wall to get inside.

Holloway says he's not taking any chances. His son has resorted to sleeping in the sanctuary until they have better protection inside, or until a culprit is caught. Holloway says, "We got to forgive and let go, but we would like for them to be caught."

Well according to the cheif of GPD crime is not that bad in Greenville. I wonder what church he goes to or what he thinks it's like when it gets bad. Greenville is getting worse by the day.

it is such a shame that people would do things like this at a church! it makes me so sad. and im glad that this pastor is 'sticking up' for his church, but it seems a little dangerous. what if they are armed? wouldnt security cameras and an alarm system be better/safer?
