Domtar Expecting Update On Economic Legislation

We're expecting an update Thursday on Domtar, who says it needs to spend tens of millions of dollars to stay in business.

Domtar near Plymouth announced this summer it plans to stop making paper at it's mill and will switch to producing the absorbent fluff used in diapers and napkins. Senator Clark Jenkins and Representative Edith Warren will visit Morotoc Park in Williamston this morning, with an update on the economic development legislation that will assist Domtar in paying to make the production line switch.

Domtar says the switch will cost $65 million.
