Authorities are searching for a 60-year-old man that was reported missing last night on the Outer Banks.

The Coast Guard and the Corolla Sheriff's Department are looking for the man in the Corolla area after his family reported him missing around midnight Saturday night.

We are visiting in Corolla and see the police still searching the beach in front of the house we are renting. Our hearts go out to his family and hope he will be found soon.

how do you know if you find him? Ask him if he is himself. You know everyone tells the truth, right?? Oh yeah, are you him?

I was in Kill Devil Hills over the weekend and the lifeguards had "No Swimming" flags posted at every beach access. The ocean was very rough and rip tides were everywhere. I certainly hope he did not go into the water by himself and at night.
