Gov. Perdue Taking Trip To China In October

Gov. Beverly Perdue will lead an international trade mission to China and Japan next month in hopes of boosting commerce between North Carolina and Asia.

A state Commerce Department spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday that Perdue, Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco and others would be making the trip.

More details were to be released later Wednesday. WRAL-TV in Raleigh said Perdue would be the first sitting North Carolina governor visit China in an official capacity.

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler headed a delegation that went to China last month to find more markets for crops of North Carolina farmers.

What is her specific agenda, and will she report back to the taxpayers if it was a success or not. Not just spin, but dollars and cents spent versus investment on return. Probably not, just a few soverneighs and some words for her next resume. Please make the politicians go away.

Hopefully China will "BOO" her like they did in New Bern. Glad I didn't vote for her. Now the question is are the voter's going to forget about Bev's decision's during her term in office and reward her again for another term?

I wonder just how much this is going to cost. WITN you should look into it especially since she is just costing NC citizens more in taxes. This is a complete waste of taxpayers money. If nobody voted for her how did she get there? I know i didn't. i think she needs to get out. NC can't stand four years of her in office.

Let's see, our economy is in the crapper so lets go to China and Japan so we can boost buying their junk in the U.S. taking jobs away from Americans making American products! Let's spend NC tax dollars on her much needed (vacation) trade mission, I'm sure she is tired after finding ways to steal our hard earned money and lets face it spending all that money must be tiring! Maybe she can catch a ride on Pepsiosi's new (much larger) jet since it now will hold more people than the smaller one she use to use! How dumb is this lady? At least bring me some take out from China!

How much is this costing the taxpayers of North Carolina? Worldwide travel should be cut out unless there is some dire emergency.
