Folks came from across the country to visit the Crystal Coast on Friday - One last trip to the beach before many send their kids back to school.
But many of those beach goers plan to head out on Saturday morning to avoid the dangerous rip currents and wild waves from Hurricane Bill
Surfer Tripp Ray was enjoying the crashing waves Friday. "This is almost the perfect track for a storm for surfing without actually having the storm come and hit."
While surfers and others were enjoying the beach, lifeguards are warning them about the wicked waves and risky rip currents. Lifeguard Dalton Power says, " Usually they think that the waves are big so they'll get on their boogey board, they'll go out and then they'll get caught in a rip, and then that'll take em way far out."
The best advice is to stay out of the water .
