Multiple media outlets report that a caller told a staffer for Democrat Rep. Brad Miller that the congressman could lose his life because his position on health care.
The U.S. Capitol Police confirmed Friday they were looking into a threat against a congressman, but wouldn't provide details.
On Friday, hundreds of people from a group called Triangle Conservatives peacefully protested Miller's support of President Obama's health care proposal at his Raleigh office.
Miller says he is not listening to the fringes on either side of the issue and is supporting what is best for the people in his 13th Congressional District.
